Funeral arrangements
"Angel Debesīs" is aware of how important and significant the farewell process is when we lose a loved one. We provide comprehensive funeral services to help you create a dignified and heartfelt farewell ceremony that honors the significance of the deceased's life.
A funeral is a ceremony held after the death of someone. Every culture and religion has its own funeral rites and traditions. In Latvia, various funeral traditions have long since become an important part of the national culture, for example, the day of graves - an ancient tradition during which deceased loved ones are honored.
How we work
Free consultation
We offer free consultations to help you understand the entire funeral planning process and answer any questions you may have.
Preparation of the documents
- Medical certificate on the cause of death.
- Death certificate.
- Registration of funeral allowance at the tax authority and social service.
- Reservation of burial date and time at the cemetery and payment for cemetery services.
Transportation of the deceased
We provide transportation of the deceased from home, nursing home or hospital to the morgue 24/7, as well as from the morgue to the church, chapel or burial place in a hearse. We also offer transportation services from and to other regional locations in Latvia.
Mortuary services
Preservation of the deceased in our Angel mortuary is free of charge until the day of the funeral ceremony.
Sanitary services
We provide sanitary services, which include disinfection, washing, shaving, hair styling, make-up, dressing and placing the deceased in a coffin.
Organization of the funeral
We provide a full range of funeral organization services:
- Pallbearers, caskets and national coffin bedspreads.
- Grave crosses and plaques of the respective religious denomination with the details of the deceased.
- Clothing for the departed.
- Booking the farewell hall, chapel and church.
- Musical accompaniment (violin, organ, saxophone).
- Leader of the mourning ceremony (speaker) in Latvian or Russian.
- A priest of the relevant religious denomination.
- Transportation for priest, funeral director and musician.
- Transport for relatives.
Funeral Ceremony
We organize a full-fledged funeral ceremony, providing all the necessary elements so that the farewell is dignified and in accordance with the wishes of the deceased and his family:
- Organization of religious rituals according to the wishes of the deceased and the family.
- Personalized flower arrangements and decorations.
- Wreaths, mourning ribbons, candles.
