Cremation is the burning of the remains, which today is carried out in a crematorium oven. It is an ancient tradition that is also performed over bonfires in various countries, including India and Nepal. We offer a free consultation, where our staff will help you understand the entire necessary process, answer questions and give advice on all issues related to cremation.
Transportation of the deceased
- From home, nursing home, hospital to the morgue.
- From the morgue with a hearse to the Riga or Valmiera crematorium.
Mortuary services
- Free maintenance in our mortuary.
- Sanitary services: disinfection, washing, shaving, hair styling, make-up, dressing, placing in a coffin.
Arranging cremation
- Provision of professional services in the organization of cremation.
- Registration of documents for cremation.
- Completion of post-mortem documents: medical certificate on the cause of death, death certificate, registration of the prosecutor's permission for cremation (as part of a criminal case), registration of funeral allowance with the tax authority (VSAA) and the social service.
- Booking the cremation date and time.
Farewell ceremony
- Farewell ceremony in the crematorium hall.
- Coffin, coffin rental, clothing for the deceased, national bedspreads for the coffin.
- A Catholic, Lutheran or Orthodox priest.
- Leader of the mourning ceremony (speaker) in your preffered languange.
- Musical accompaniment (violin, organ, saxophone).
- Transport for priest, funeral director, musician.
Urn services
- Urn, plate on the urn.
- Urn preservation.
- Delivery of an urn with ashes.
Cremation History and Reasons for Choice
